Welcome to the Herstmonceux Pre-School Website.

Our aim at the Pre School is to provide care and education in partnership with parents for all children from 2 years of age who live in the local area.

At Herstmonceux Pre School we believe children will learn by having fun through activities and play under the guidance of fully trained Early Years staff.

We actively encourage good links with home and feel that you the parents/carers are the child’s first and main educators throughout their lives.

Home visits are arranged prior to your child starting; these are an excellent way to ‘get to know‘ you and your child and help us to plan ahead any resources that will support their emotional and educational needs when they start pre school.

Through written and verbal communication, we aim to provide a comprehensive account of your child’s development during their time with us.

We offer and maintain a high standard of pre-school education working from Birth to Three Matters to the Early Learning Goals in the Foundation Stage, set by the Qualification and Curriculum Authority.

The term Birth to Three Matters is literally just as it reads, a curriculum that concentrates on supporting children from birth to three years of age.
